How it works

Reserve your stay. We'll keep watching the price.

Hotel rates can change after you reserve. TripWatcher monitors your stay and alerts you when we find a comparable lower rate, so you can decide whether to switch and save.

Why keep watching

Your reservation price doesn't have to be the final price

Hotels use dynamic pricing, which means the rate for the same stay can rise or fall as demand and availability change.

Most travelers stop comparing prices once their stay is confirmed. But if you have a refundable reservation and the price drops before your free-cancellation deadline, you may still have an opportunity to switch for less.

TripWatcher does the checking for you.

You keep your existing reservation while we monitor the price. If we find a worthwhile lower rate, we let you know.

Simple setup

Three steps to savings

We monitor your stays around the clock and alert you the second prices drop. Setup takes less than two minutes.

  1. Reserve or import your stay

Reserve a hotel through TripWatcher, or add a reservation you already made elsewhere.

Upload your confirmation or enter the reservation details manually. We use your stay details to create a price watch for your hotel and dates.

  2. We monitor the price

Once your watch is active, TripWatcher checks for lower rates for the same hotel, stay dates and comparable reservation conditions.

We keep monitoring while there is still time to act before your free-cancellation deadline.

  3. A better rate appears? We alert you.

If we find a qualifying lower rate, you'll receive an alert showing the potential saving.

You decide whether it's worth switching. Your original reservation stays in place unless you choose to cancel it.

If you decide to switch, secure the new reservation first, confirm it, then cancel the old one according to its cancellation policy.

You stay in control throughout the process.

Two ways in

Start watching in under two minutes

  • Already have a reservation? Import it.

It doesn't matter where you originally reserved.

If you have an eligible reservation from any travel site or the hotel itself, you can add it to TripWatcher and start monitoring it.

Upload your confirmation or enter the details manually. It takes less than two minutes.

Search and compare hotels with TripWatcher, reserve your stay, then keep watching the rate after you're confirmed.

Instead of wondering whether you reserved at the right moment, you can continue monitoring the price while your reservation remains eligible for free cancellation.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Do I have to reserve my hotel through TripWatcher?

No. You can import an eligible reservation you made elsewhere and create a watch for it.

Does TripWatcher cancel or change my reservation automatically?

No. Your existing reservation remains untouched. TripWatcher alerts you to qualifying price drops, and you decide whether to switch.

What if my reservation is non-refundable?

The cancel-and-switch strategy is primarily useful for reservations that can still be cancelled without a penalty. Always check your original reservation conditions before making any changes.

What happens if the price goes up?

Nothing changes. You still have your original reservation at the price you paid.

What happens if the price drops more than once?

TripWatcher can continue monitoring an eligible stay after a price change, helping you spot further opportunities while there is still time to act.

Does TripWatcher guarantee that my hotel price will drop?

No. Hotel rates can rise, fall or stay the same. TripWatcher removes the need to repeatedly check yourself and alerts you when it finds a qualifying opportunity.
